Camino de Santiago: 10 Mile Training

Did my first 10-mile training day this weekend and I was able to test out all the rain gear. The Marmot jacket from REI worked best with my Columbia waterproof hat. Together they kept the raindrops off of my eyeglasses.

I hiked around Hanes Point and then on the Mall around all the monuments. Since it was raining, I pretty much had the place to myself.  I can honestly say that I enjoyed it very much. However, I think that 10 miles in a day is my limit right now. I am still not in great shape and I get tired pretty quickly. Took about 4 breaks to sit and snack while I walked.

It was a great day!
